LONDON INTERNATIONAL HORSE SHOW CONFIRMS
MULTI-YEAR EXTENSION AT EXCEL LONDON

World-renowned equestrian event and festive favourite
to remain at London venue until at least 2026

Organisers of London International Horse Show have today announced a multi-year agreement that will see it remain at Excel London until at least 2026.

Held at the Royal Docks venue since 2021, today marks the opening of the five-day international equestrian spectacle, which is anticipated to welcome more than 80,000 attendees.

This year’s event promises an exciting line-up of elite international competition, including FEI World Cup™ events in Dressage, Show Jumping, and Driving, as well as a range of family-friendly entertainment.

Today’s opener will also see a special Team GB Medal Parade to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the British equestrian team at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Amid the equestrian action in both the International and the New Horizon Plastics London Arenas, visitors can also explore a wide range of additional attractions including the popular Shopping Village, an array of food & beverage treats and the Talk Horse Live Zone – acting as a hub to connect visitors with top riders, influencers and industry experts.

The event also receives extensive coverage across the BBC Sport platform, including live showing of Sunday’s Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Presented by Agria, on BBC Two.

Show Director Simon Brooks-Ward commented: “Since moving to Excel London in 2021, we’ve been able to successfully adapt and grow the London International Horse Show both from a sporting and visitor perspective.  The space that Excel offers means that we have been able to introduce an additional arena with an expanded showing and masterclass programme.  We’re delighted to have signed with Excel and to continue the Show in this venue for the forthcoming years. The 2024 Show promises to be another great spectacle and truly offers something for everyone.”

Excel’s Chief Commercial Officer Simon Mills added: “It’s an honour for us to host such a prestigious event and we’re looking forward to continually growing and enhancing the London International Horse Show over the coming years. Excel’s world-class space, facilities and transport connections have all played their part in this, as have our dedicated team who seamlessly transform our venue into an international showjumping arena.”

He added: “Since the inaugural event in 2021, the Show’s floorspace has increased by a further 25% allowing for enhanced horse and rider facilities, visitor experience, Shopping Village and more recently a second arena. Being able to support and help events grow is key for Excel, something we have done consistently across our wide spectrum of events.”

The London International Horse Show, which is managed by The HPower Group and presented by Clarion Events, takes place at Excel London from 18 – 22 December. Limited tickets are still available. For more information visit www.londonhorseshow.com
