- AI sector experiencing surge in growth following ground-breaking launch of ChatGPT

Chatbot Summit, the world's leading Conversational AI Conference & Expo, has selected London and the city’s largest venue Excel to host its much-anticipated 2023 conference.

Scheduled for mid-October, the prestigious Conversational AI event is relocating from its previous home in Berlin to the UK capital, marking its first in-person European meeting since the pandemic.

The move has been prompted due to London’s burgeoning AI sector which boasts some 1,300 companies, more than Paris and Berlin combined. London was also voted the ‘world’s most AI-driven city’ – ahead of New York and Singapore – in a recent study by the Business Name Generator.

The global AI sector, and in specific natural language AI, has also experienced a surge in interest of late following the launch of the ground-breaking ChatGPT. This innovative new technology will be a key draw to many top consumer brands and large enterprises during October’s Summit as more and more look to integrate it and other Conversational AI solutions to improve customer experience and reduce operational costs.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with VisitBritain, London & Partners and Excel to bring Chatbot Summit to the UK capital," said Yoav Barel, CEO & Founder of Chatbot Summit. "London's unique positioning as a home for some of the world’s leading brands, top academic institutions, and a vibrant startup ecosystem makes it an ideal location for the summit. This move provides us with an exciting opportunity to further our mission to accelerate Conversational AI by bringing together the best and brightest in the field and providing a platform for collaboration and growth. We look forward to bringing the global conversational AI community and connecting it with the local ecosystem in London.”

Jane Hague, Head of Business Development, Conferences & Events at Excel, said: “As well as London being the world’s most AI-driven city, it is also ranked the highest for AI-education, so we hope this event will act as a legacy for the city’s next generation, in particular our neighbour and partner the University of East London. We can’t wait to host the Chabot Summit at Excel and we’re confident it will be the first of many successful years here in London’s Royal Docks.”

Barbara Jamison-Woods, Head of Europe at the London Convention Bureau, added: “The London Convention Bureau were delighted to work with Sunrize Digital Ltd – organisers of the Chatbot Summit – and Excel to bring this important business conference to London. The AI sector is of huge importance to London, whilst the UK is ranked third in the world for private venture capital investment into AI companies and is home to a third of Europe's total AI companies. We look forward to welcoming the Chatbot Summit to our City!”

This year’s event will be its seventh with previous summits combined attracting around 10,000 attendees from over 75 countries and more than 200 exhibitors.

The Chabot Summit takes place at Excel London from 11-12 October and is expected to attract around 2,000 delegates and 50 exhibitors. For more information visit www.chatbotsummit.com.
